Getting started with Pinnote

From sign-up to your first piece of client feedback in about ten minutes.

Updated

1. Make an account and add your site

Sign up with your email, confirm it from the email we send, and add your site's address. You can add staging and local copies as other addresses later.

2. Paste one line

Under Install, your site's settings show a script tag with your own site key. Paste it just before </body>. On WordPress you can use the plugin instead. The install guides show where it goes on Webflow, Framer, Shopify, Squarespace, Wix and others.

3. Check it works

Click Try it on my site. Your site opens with you signed in as a reviewer, and Settings turns to "Installed" once the widget reports in.

That browser now counts as invited, so it keeps showing the Feedback button even when visitors don't get it. To see what ordinary visitors see, open your site in a private window.

4. Choose who gets what

On your site's People page, one table says who gets the Feedback button and what it opens:

You can also switch the button off on an address for everyone, and choose on the Widget page which pages show it.

5. Invite a reviewer

Type their name and email under People. They get an email with one button that opens your site ready to comment, and three steps telling them what to click. They don't need an account or a password.

6. Read, answer and resolve

Each note arrives in your Feedback inbox on its screenshot, with the page, the element and their browser. Reply and they see it on the page, next to their note. Use a team note to talk it over with colleagues instead. Resolve it when it's done, and the next note opens.

Want an email when feedback arrives? Turn it on under Account, as it happens or once a day. To have a coding agent do the fixing, connect it under AI agents.
